DROP BAG INFORMATION

 

For the P2P Hundred race category, a drop bag service will be available for use at McBains Aid Station and Du Toitskloof Aid Station. Each P2P Hundred athlete will receive a P2P Drop Bag at registration with their name on it. Alternatively, athletes may use their own bag as long as it does not exceed the size of the provided drop bag. A maximum of two drop bags per athlete is allowed. Your drop bag can include personal supplies such as gels, food, a change of socks, shoes, shorts, and lubricant.

Drop Bag Submission Deadlines:

Pre-Race Only: The only time to hand in your drop bag is on race morning between arrival and 03:45 AM.

Collection and Use:

  • Drop bags will be available at McBains Aid Station and Du Toitskloof Aid Station only.
  • Drop bags will be lined up in numerical order at each station. Any bags without clearly written/visible names and race numbers will be placed at the end of the number range.
  • Only the runner can collect their drop bag at the aid station.
  • Once you are finished with your drop bag, it must be placed in the designated used drop bag pile.

Used Drop Bag Collection Times:

Drop bags will be available for collection at the following times

 

    • 17:00 (if dropped before 12:00 PM)
    • 20:00 (if dropped before 17:00 PM)
    • 00:00 (if dropped before 20:00 PM)
    • 04:00 (for any bags dropped after 20:00 PM)

Important Notes:

  • Please avoid using glass bottles or jars in your drop bag.
  • This service is intended to assist you where support crews are not available, ensuring you have access to your personal supplies at crucial points in the race.
  • Drop bags will only be transported to and from McBains Aid Station and Du Toitskloof Aid Station.
